Donation Districts
If a person lives or dies outside Southeastern Michigan, or in another state, arrangements for a body donation should be made with the nearest medical school.
At present, Wayne State University School of Medicine accepts body donations from the Southeastern part of Michigan, which includes the thumb area, with consideration given to some counties such as: Bay, Saginaw and Genesee. In most of these cases, the University will incur the expenses involved for transportation.
